European SynBio Hackaton

THE CONCEPT:

Bringing together synbio enthusiasts from across the European continent to brainstorm and design bold applications of synthetic biology’s expanding capabilities.

Within a two-day online programme, the teams will work on their concepts, get feedback from mentors, and pitch to a jury consisting of academia, industry, and investors. The goal is to catalyze entrepreneurial thinking on a grand scale, in a vibrant, informal atmosphere, ensuring inclusivity and equality: the missing puzzle piece for the European biotech scene.

THE BASICS:

Audience: EU young professionals, researchers, students;
Format: 2 days over a weekend, online;
Tracks (TBC): health/wellbeing, agrifood, sustainability, moonshots;
Pilot timeline: applications Jan – Mar 2024, event in late Apr 2024.
