THE CONCEPT:
The European SynBio Hackathon is a dynamic, continent-wide event dedicated to driving innovation in synthetic biology.
Hosted by BioCatalyst Foundation, from November 8-10, 2024, this online hackathon is designed for students, researchers, and young professionals across Europe who are eager to shape the future of biotech.
By combining expertise, creativity, and mentorship, participants will work together to create solutions that address global challenges across health, sustainability, agrifood, and beyond.

- Medicine and Wellbeing: Developing biotechnological solutions for healthcare and diagnostics
- Agrifood and Nutrition: Advancing sustainable food and agriculture through biotechnology
- Industry and Circularity: Innovating for a circular economy with eco-friendly production processes
- Moonshots and Early Bets: Pioneering ambitious ideas to address future global challenges
