SYNBEE Training Courses participant:
A Conversation with Divij Kinger
In April and May 2024, SYNBEE launched its inaugural training program, a transformative experience designed to equip students with the entrepreneurial skills they need to thrive in synthetic biology and biotechnology.
Nearly 20 students participated, immersing themselves in workshops led by industry experts covering crucial topics such as startup funding, personal branding, identifying customer needs, and navigating the complex biotech market, among others.
To capture the impact of these sessions, SYNBEE is delighted to release the first in a series of participant interviews. This video series showcases the journeys of three students who embraced the SYNBEE experience and are now making waves in the field.
Our first interview features Divij Kinger. In the video, Divij reflects on his time in the program, answering key questions about his journey into synthetic biology, his motivations for joining SYNBEE, and how the training has shaped his goals in the biotech industry. Through his responses, he shares insights into SYNBEE’s value for young entrepreneurs, revealing how the program’s training on customer needs and biotech market dynamics helped him bring his innovative ideas closer to reality.
Divij Kinger’s Next Steps: MilkyV
Divij joined forces with a friend to co-found MilkyV, a startup focused on women’s health, which specializes in vaginal microbiome analysis. By providing women with personalized insights into their microbiome, MilkyV’s mission is to bridge the gender data gap and support fertility health. Backed by the Vision Health Pioneers incubator in Berlin, Divij’s startup is already off to a promising start.
Looking Forward
In this interview, Divij provides candid thoughts on his future in synthetic biology, sharing how SYNBEE has cemented his commitment to the field.
This video interview is part of a larger initiative to spotlight SYNBEE’s impact on students. It not only illustrates the transformative power of the training but also gives viewers a personal look into the journeys of students who are actively applying SYNBEE’s lessons to drive real-world innovation.
For those interested in exploring SYNBEE’s resources, all training sessions are available on the SYNBEE YouTube Channel. This rich library of knowledge provides actionable insights into the many facets of biotech entrepreneurship, making it a valuable resource for students, young professionals, and aspiring innovators in the field.
